Swansea Church Sabbath potluck lunches are well known for being hearty feasts with delicacies from all over the world. We never miss an opportunity to incorporate food into our Church events and ‘Ingathering*’ is no exception!
Last Thursday, 22 of us enjoyed a delicious two course meal at Brinjal Indian Restaurant in Gorseinon and were able to raise £115 for the Adventist Development Relief Agency (ADRA) at the same time! The menu was perfect and enjoyed by all, including chilli-lover Dr Paul and Margaret Howells, who had never experienced an Indian restaurant before this evening – ever!
Each person was happy to pay £10 for onion bahjis, vegetable curry or chicken tikka, pilau rice and naan breads starter and Brinjan restaurant was happy to donate £5 to our chosen charity. Swansea Church is very grateful to Brinjan Restaurant for their generosity and we were glad the chef joined our group photo at the end if the evening.
